The Oresund portal is the official website for the Oresund Region. It aims to make information about the Oresund Region more accessible to businesses, tourists and students from all over the world.
The portal was first developed in 2005 by the regional marketing organisation Øresund Network, in collaboration with a number of other Oresund players. It is currently run and edited by Øresunddirekt.
Øresunddirekt is the official public sector information service for the Oresund Region, owned and financed jointly by Danish and Swedish authorities. Øresunddirekts task is to provide citizens and businesses with the public service information they require to utilize the Oresund Region, primarily through the two web portals www.oresunddirekt.com and www.oresunddirektbusiness.com.
The funding for Øresunddirekt comes from The Capital Region of Denmark, The Danish Ministry of Economic and Business Affairs, The Danish Ministry of Employment and Region Skåne.
