The Øresund barometer shows that boom in the Danish Capital Region and an upswing in Skåne have sent expectation in business life up at its highest level since 1998.
The trade index has increased to 35 from 16 during the same time last year, the barometer shows. An index of 25 or more indicates that the Øresund Region is in the middle of a boom, writes Børsen.
“The autumn’s analysis of the trade development is interesting, because we have never before had such a strong boom during the years that the Øresund barometer has been published”, writes Øresundsbarometeret.
The Danish Capital Region presently draws growth in the Øresund Region. The trade index for the capital is 40 against 25 in Skåne on the Swedish side of the Sound.
The picture of a coherent region is gradually appearing in the Øresund barometer, as to a large extent it is the same sectors on both sides of the Sound that experience the increase. This especially goes for construction and knowledge-service whereas the Capital Region has more growth than Skåne within IT, car sale and retail trade. (source: www.copcap.com)
